Participants in the reWINE pilot test
Four cellars and 100 restaurants in Catalonia will participate in the reWINE pilot test in order to validate a system for the reuse of wine bottles.
The pilot test of the reWINE project involves four Catalan wineries - the Falset Marçà, La Vinyeta, Talcomraja and Vins Pravi Cooperative -, 100 restaurants and a dozen shops throughout Catalonia, and the Infinity washing plant. You can see and locate all the participants on the following web map.
The objective is to demonstrate the technical, environmental, social and economic viability of a sustainable system for the collection, cleaning and reuse of glass bottles in the wine sector of Catalonia.
The project plans to recover around 100,000 bottles, which is estimated to be able to avoid approximately 45 tonnes of glass packaging waste.
